Friday , June 7th

Depart USA for Israel.

Saturday, June 8th

Welcome to Israel! Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv with UA 90 flight at 4:20 pm. Meet and assistance by Immanuel Tours representative. After border formalities we will meet our driver (David) and set off to Jerusalem. Before checking in to our hotel we will stop on Mt. Scopus for a panoramic view over the City of Jerusalem. We will check in to the Dan Panorama Hotel in time for dinner and overnight.

Sunday, June 9th

Jerusalem: The Mount of Olives – Old City – Mt. Zion After breakfast we drive to the Mount of Olives overlooking the ancient and modern city of Jerusalem, the center of the Biblical world. We walk down the “Palm Sunday Road”, via the Chapel of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37f), to the Garden of Gethsemane where He prayed on the night of His betrayal (Luke 22:40-46). Next we enter within the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate, walking from the Pools of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church to the Antonio Fortress (Gabbata and Ecce Homo) and along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre . We end this day on Mt. Zion with a visit to the Upper Room, King David’s Tomb and St. Peter in Gallicantu, the House of Caiaphas (John 18:19-27), where Jesus was interrogated by the High Priest. We then return to the Dan Panorama Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Monday, June 10th

Temple Mount – Western Wall – City of David – Bethlehem We start the tour this day after an EARLY breakfast. We will walk to the Temple Mount, a holy site within the Old City for Jewish, Christian and Muslim people. All visitors are able to tour the compound and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the exception of the Dome of the Rock. From here we walk to the Western Wall Tunnels. The tunnels run along approximately 488 meters of the Western Wall, giving visitors a taste for the challenge that stood before Herod the Great during this biggest of all his immense building projects—the expansion of the Temple Mount. One such example is the famous western stone which is 14 meters long and weighs almost 570 tons. Davidson Center which includes the Hulda Steps and the Southern Wall Archaeological Garden. We continue to the City of David . We’ll make our way through Hezekiah’s tunnel (2 Chronicles 32:30) to the Pool of Siloam where Jesus healed the man born blind (John 9). From here we continue to Bethlehem, the royal city of David, where Jesus was born (Luke 2). We visit the Church of the Nativity and the Field of the Shepherds where the Angel of the Lord proclaimed the birth of the Savior. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Tuesday, June 11th

Yad Vashem – Elah Valley – Archaeological Dig We set off after breakfast and drive to the Israel Museum with the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are preserved, and the model of the 2nd Temple period Jerusalem. We continue to Yad Vashem Museum of the Holocaust which preserves the memory of the 6 million victims of the Shoah. We drive on to the Elah Valley where the battle between David and Goliath took place (1 Samuel 17). Next we will enjoy an archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin. We return to Jerusalem and end this memorable day at the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Golgotha. Here we will spend some time in worship and share the Lord ’s Supper. Return to the Dan Panorama Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, June 12th

Today you will enjoy a free day in Jerusalem with opportunity for private activities and shopping. Those who wish may enjoy a walk on the City Walls (Ramparts Walk) together with Pastor Doug and Glenna. Breakfast and dinner will be served at the Dan Panorama Hotel.

Thursday , June 13th

Shiloh – Haifa – Sea of Galilee We check out of the Dan Panorama Hotel after breakfast and will set off to Samaria. We drive southwards in to the Land of the Tribe of Benjamin. Take a good look at the road signs. You will recognize names you have read in the Bible such as: Beit El, where Jacob said:”how awesome is this place! This is non other than the House of God and this is the gate to Heaven”. Our first stop will be at the site of Ancient Shilo. The city of Shilo held a central place in the history of the Jewish People. It was in Shilo that the Tabernacle existed for 369 years; where Hana cried out her famous prayer for a child: 1 Samuel 2 . From here we will drive towards to coastal plain and along the Mount Carmel to Haifa, Israel’s largest port city. We will stop for a panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the Bahai Gardens. We will also have a very special visit to the home for Holocaust Survivors which is managed by the International Christian Embassy. On the way to the Sea of Galilee we will stop in Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle at the wedding feast (John 2:1-11). Finally , we arrive to our hotel by the Sea of Galilee (Nof Ginoar/Galei Kinneret Hotel) for dinner and overnight.

Friday, June 14th

Around the Sea of Galilee After breakfast we will visit the “Jesus Boat” Museum which houses a fishing boat the time of Jesus (Matthew 4:12-25). We will also visit Magdala, the birthplace and home of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:1-2). We drive via Chorazim, a town rebuked by Jeus for its lack of faith (Matthew 11:21-23) to Mt. Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). We will walk down to the Cove of the Sower. Mark 4 records a time when Jesus was teaching a large crowd and pushed out in a boat in order to speak to them. Some suggest this cove is an ideal location for teaching the crowds. We arrive to Capernaum where Jesus lived and performed many signs and wonders (Matthew 8:5-13) . Here we will visit the ancient synagogue (Mark 1:21-28) and the “House of Peter” (Matthew 8:14-17). Located on the northern Sea of Galilee shore, Capernaum was the center of Jesus’ Galilean Ministry. Continue to Tabgha, the traditional site of the calling of the disciples (Matthew 4:12-22) and the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes (Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44). Here we will visit the Mensa Christi Church. We end the day at Yardenit for baptism in the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight at Kibbutz Ginosar/ Galei Kinneret Hotel.

Saturday, June 15th

Golan Heights Today we will have a full day tour to the Golan Heights. We will drive through the lower region of the Hula Valley to Katzrin. The “town of the Golan” which was established in 1974. Drive up to Mt. Bental to an observation point of the Syrian border where we can look into the ghost town of Kuneitra and the “Road to Damascus”. We will stop at one of the sources of the River Jordan at Banias, the site of Caesarea Philippi, where the Apostle Peter made his great confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. We continue to Tel Dan, the ruins of the northernmost town in biblical Israel (hence the saying “From Dan to Beersheba) . We drive back to the Sea of Galilee for a Boat Ride with Daniel Carmel, a messianic believer (Sea of Galilee Worship Boat). Return to the hotel.

Sunday, June 16th

Megiddo – Mt. Carmel – Caesarea – Tel Aviv (Night flight to USA) We check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive to Megiddo. A giant fortress and city built by King Solomon (1 Kings 9:15). In the New Testament Megiddo (Armageddon) is referred to as the site of the “final battle”mentioned in Revelations 16. We will walk through this impressive archaeological site including the water system tunnel. Next we drive by Mt. Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah challenged the priets of Baal (1 Kings 18:16-39). From here we continue along the coastal road to Caesarea Maritima, built by King Herod, Caesarea later became the seat of government for the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, who sat in judgement over Jesus and sentence Him to be crucified. We’ll visit the extensive excavations of the site including the harbor, the Crusader City, the Amphitheatre, the Hippodrome and the Roman Aqua duct. From here we drive to Old Jaffa (New Testament Joppa) where Jonah boarded a ship for Tarshish (Jonah 1) and the Apostle Peter (Acts 9-10) received God’s command to preach the Tospel to the Gentiles. It was here that Peter stayed in the home of Simon the Tanner. We will enjoy a special FAREWELL DINNER at a nice restaurant in Jaffa before we arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and check in for our homebound flight to the USA.
