Tour Leader:

Bible teacher Charlie Grossman is a Jewish Believer in Jesus, with a unique perspective and deep insight into God’s Word.  He has been teaching the Bible for over 30 years, and is the head of Eshcol Valley Ministries (  His messages and seminars bring the Bible to life, and inspire and strengthen believers in their walk with the Lord.  Charlie will be the Bible teacher throughout the Steps of Faith Israel Journey, and will also assist in leading worship.  Charlie has been married to his wife Donna for over 25 years; he and Donna have two children, Matthew and Rebecca.

Tour Guide:

Guy has been a licensed tour guide in the land of Israel since the year 2000 with a special emphasis in archeology. Guy is married and has two beautiful kids. They live in Kibbutz Harel, located between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, not far from the place where David killed Goliath. There are few tour guides as passionate as Guy!

Arrival in Ben Gurion Airport with El Al flight # 26 at 2:25 pm. Meet & assist by an
Immanuel Tours representative. After border formalities you will meet your guide
(Guy Leibovitz) and driver. Start the tour with a drive to Old Jaffa (New Testament
Joppa) where Jonah boarded a ship for Tarshish (Jonah 1) and the Apostle Peter
(Acts 9-10) received God’s command to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles. It was
here that Peter stayed in the home of Simon the Tanner. It was also here that
Peter brought Tabitha back from the dead (Acts 9:36-43). From here you will have a
wonderful panoramic view of the city of Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest metropolitan area
and the Mediterranean Sea. We drive to our hotel for the first night – Metropolitan
Hotel , Tel Aviv

May 22 Caesarea – Carmel – Megiddo – Cana in Galilee
We begin our day driving northwards to the ruins of the ancient city of Caesarea
Maritima which was built by King Herod and later became the seat of government of
the Roman governors including Pontius Pilate who sat in judgment on Jesus Christ
and sentenced him to be crucified. Visit the extensive excavations of the site
including the harbor, the Crusader City, the theatre, the hippodrome and the Roman
aquaduct. Our next stop will be Mt. Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah challenged the
Priests of Baal (1 Kings 18:17-40). Continue the drive along the Jezreel Valley to
Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelations. Christian tradition has it that
the final great battle of the world will be fought here. Next we continue driving
through Nazareth, a town in the hill country of Galilee where Jesus grew to
manhood and arrive at the small village of Cana , where Jesus performed his first
miracle at the wedding feast (John 2:1-11). Here there will be an opportunity for
couples to renew their wedding vows. We arrive in our hotel in the late afternoon
and check in for dinner and overnight at the Nof Ginosar Hotel, by the Sea of

May 23 Sea of Galilee
The Sea of Galilee is rich in memories of the three years of Jesus’ Ministry around its
shores. We begin this day with a visit to the so-called “Jesus Boat” a fishing boat of
the kind used by the disciples of Jesus. We then take a boat ride from Nof Ginosar to
Capernaum, where Jesus dwelt after he left Nazareth and did many signs and
wonders, to visit the ancient synagogue and the nearby House of Peter. We drive on
around the shores of the Sea of Galilee to visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, Korazim (or
Corozaim), which was a small Jewish town, which Jesus used to visit and to preach to
its inhabitants, who refused to listen (Mat. 11,21). Before ending this day with shall
stop at baptismal site at Yardenit by the River Jordan. Dinner and overnight.

May 24 Golan Heights
. This morning we drive up to the Golan Heights passing by Katzerin “the town of the
Golan” which was established in 1974 and continue on to Mt. Bental from where there
is an observation point over the whole region and onto the ghost town of Kuneitra.
Next we stop at the Banias, the location of Caesarea Philippi where the Apostle Peter
made his great confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, before continuing to Tel Dan,
which was the north most town in biblical Israel (hence the saying “from Dan to
Beersheba”). Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

May 25 Jordan Valley – Jerusalem
This morning we drive southwards through the Jordan Valley and along the slopes of
the Gilboa Mountains, on the slopes of which, Saul, first king of Israel, and his son
Jonathan, were killed in a battle with the Philistines about 1010 B.C. and arrive at the
Spring of Ein Harod. At the waters of Ein Harod, Gideon collected his people to fight
the Midianites, about 1050 B.C. as described in the book of Judges (Judges 7,7).
Next we visit the excavations of the ancient Israelite city of Beit Shean. In New
Testament times it became one of the 10 cities of the Decapolis. After the visit to this
extensive site, we continue and drive along the Jordan Valley to Jericho and up
through the Judean Hills to Jerusalem. Before checking into our hotel we stop at the
“Tayelet” promenade for a breathtaking view over the Old City of Jerusalem, Mt. Zion
and the Mt. of Olives. Dinner and overnight at the Prima Kings Hotel.

May 26 Massada – Dead Sea – Qumran
This morning we depart from Jerusalem, driving through the Judean desert and along
the shores of the Dead Sea to visit the Mountain fortress of Massada, the site of the
last Jewish resistance against the Romans in 73 AD. Ascent and descend by cable
car. Next there will be an opportunity to bathe in the waters of the Dead Sea – the
lowest spot on the face of Earth, followed by a visit to Qumran, where the Dead Sea
Scrolls were written over 2000 years ago. We will also enjoy a visit to Genesis Land
Where we will have the opportunity to ride a camel and experience the Hebrew
Hospitality in Abraham’s Tent overlooking the Judean Desert. Return to our hotel for
Dinner and overnight. Those who wish can walk down to the Wailing Wall to
experience the welcoming of the Shabbat .

May 27 Mt. of Olives – Gethsemane – Old City – Mt. Zion
We begin this day after breakfast, driving to the top of the Mount of Olives, for a
majestic view over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical
world. We walk down the “Palm Sunday Road”, via the Chapel of Dominus Flevit
where Jesus wept over Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed on
the night of his betrayal (Lk. 22:40-46). Next we shall enter within the walls of the
Old City through the Lion’s Gate walking from the Pools of Bethesda and along the
Via Dolorosa. We will walk through the narrow streets of the Old City experiencing
the Christian, Muslim and Jewish Quarters . In the Jewish Quarter we will walk along
the Cardo to Mt. Zion for a visit to the Upper Room, the Tomb of King David and the
Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Before returning to our hotel we will stop by the
newly established USA Embassy in Jerusalem ! Dinner and overnight.

May 28 Wailing Wall – City of David – Garden Tomb- Valley of Elah- Departure
Our last touring day in Israel begins with a visit to the Western (Wailing) Wall the
most holy shrine for the Jewish people. We then walk via Robinson’s Arch to the
Garden of Ophel where archaeological excavations have revealed many remains of
the Herodian period which include the steps known as the Hulda Steps leading up to
the Temple Court. Then visit the excavations at the City of David. In the afternoon
we will visit the Garden Tomb where we will have time for worship and communion.
We continue to the Israel Museum with the Shrine of the Book and the Holy Land
Model . Then we drive on to Beit Shemesh and atop at the Valley of Elah where
David defeated Goliath, the Philistine giant, in a single combat. Finally we drive to
Tel Aviv , Israel’s largest metropolitan. Here we will enjoy a Farewell Dinner
before we proceed to to Ben Gurion Airport to catch our homebound
