About This Group
This tour is led by Pastors Don and Sandy Wallace of Redland Christian Center in Redlands, California.
Pastors Don and Sandy Wallace have been married for 40 years and enjoy watching people grow spiritually and use their faith to do what God has called of them. They both have degrees in Business Administration, Masters of Theology, a Doctorate of Ministry and a Ph.D.

TEL AVIV – NETANYA
Early afternoon arrival in Ben Gurion Airport with El Al fligh # 6 at 1:30 pm.
Welcome service by Immanuel Tours representatives and your guide who will meet the group and assist with arrival procedures. We drive to Tel Aviv for a visit to Old Jaffa (new Testament Joppa). We will walk through the streets of Old Jaffa and visit the House of Simon the Tanner and the St. Peters Church. From here we will enjoy a magnificent view over Tel Aviv and the Mediterranean Sea. Continue the drive along the coast to the town of Netanya. Check in to the Leonardo Plaza Hotel for dinner and overnight.
CAESAREA – MT. CARMEL – MT. TABOR – NAZARETH
We check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive northwards to begin this day at Caesarea Maritima which was built by King Herod and later became the seat of government of the Roman governors including Pontius Pilate who sat in judgment on Jesus Christ and sentenced him to be crucified. Visit the extensive excavations of the site including the harbor, the Crusader City, the theatre, the hippodrome and the Roman aquaduct. We continue and drive to Mt. Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah challenged the Priests of Baal (1 Kings 18:17-40). Our next stop is at Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelations. Christian tradition has it that the final great battle of the world will be fought here. Continue to the foot of Mt. Tabor, the Mount of the Transfiguration (Matth. 17:1-8) and drive up the Mount by special cars. From the top of the Mount there is a wonderful panoramic view which extends from Mt. Hermon in the north, to the hills of Samaria in the south. We drive on to Nazareth, here we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation , the Synagogue Church and the “Mount of the Leap” so-called because it was from the brow of a steep hill that the inhabitants of Nazareth wanted to cast him. From here we continue to the town of Tiberias, located by the Sea of Galilee. We check in ot the Sofia hotel for dinner and overnight.
SEA OF GALILEE
The Sea of Galilee is rich in memories of the three years of Jesus’ ministry around its shores. We begin the day at Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene and visit the site and the new visitor’s center. Next we visit Mt. of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount, from the top of which there is a wonderful panoramic view over the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Capernaum, where Jesus dwelt after he left Nazareth and did many signs and wonders. We visit the ancient synagogue and the nearby House of Peter. We continue to visit the so-called “Jesus Boat”, a fishing boat of the kind used by the disciples of Jesus. This is followed by a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee from Nof Ginosar to Tiberias where we take lunch of St. Peter’s Fish in a restaurant nearby. A visit to Yardenit Baptismal Site by the River Jordan is last on our program . Here there will be an opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River for those who wish. We return to the Sofia hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
MISGAV AM – GOLAN HEIGHTS – BEIT SAIDA
This morning after breakfast we drive to the Northern part of Galilee. We
begin with a visit to Kibbutz Misgav Am visitor center, right on the Lebanese border. A kibbutz member will brief about the life at the border and we shall see the observation point overviewing the southern part of Lebanon. We continue our drive north to Caesarea Phlippi where the Apostle Peter made his great confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (Matth. 16:13-17) before we continue to Tel Dan which was the northernmost town in biblical Israel (hence the saying “from Dan to Beersheba”) confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (Matth. 16:13-17). We visit the site of ancient Beit Saida before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
EIN HAROD – BEIT SHEAN – QUMRAN – DEAD SEA
This morning we check out of our hotel and drive southwards through the Jordan Valley and along the slopes of Mt. Gilboa. We stop at the Spring of Ein Harod where Gideon the Judge, collected his people to fight the Midianites (Judges 7:4-7). Then we continue our drive to the ancient Israelite city of Beit Shean. In New Testament times it became one of the 10 cities of the Decapolis. We drive via via Jericho the most ancient city in the world and arrive at Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were written over 2000 years ago. We arrive at the Daniel Resort Hotel by the Dead Sea. We check in to our rooms . You may enjoy a float in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea or spend time in the SPA facilities of the hotel before dinner and overnight.
MASSADA – EIN GEDI – WADI KELT – JERUSALEM
Late check out from the hotel . Opportunity for bathing in mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. After check out, we start this day with a visit to the Mountain Fortress of Massada, the site of the last Jewish resistance against the Romans in 73 AD. Ascent and descend by cable car. This is followed by a visit to Gedi National Park which was one of the cities of Judah where David found shelter from King Saul. We drive up along the Judean Desert to a beautiful view point over Wadi Kelt and St. George Koziba Monastery. We now start our ascent to Jerusalem, the city of God. Before checking in to our hotel we will enjoy a stop at Mt. Scopus view point over Jerusalem, the center of the Biblical World.
We check in to the Dan hotel for dinner and overnight.
TEMPLE MOUNT – JEWISH QUARTER – CITY OF DAVID-BETHLEHEM
Early morning breakfast. Our first stop today will be at the Temple Mount. From here we walk to the Western (Wailing) Wall, the most holy shrine for the Jewish people. We will visit the Temple Institute and walk along the Jewish Quarter with the Cardo to the Davidson Archaeological Park with Robinson’s Arch where archaeological excavations have revealed many remains of the Herodian period which include the steps known as the Hulda Steps leading up to the Temple Court. Then visit the excavations at the City of David. Following the 3Dmovie, we walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel to the Pool of Siloam. Afternoon drive to Bethlehem, the royal city of David, to kneel at the place of the birth of Christ in the Grotto of the Nativity. We visit also the Shepherds’ Field where the Angel of the Lord appeared to the Shepherds on that first Christmas Eve and announced the birth of the Saviour (Lk. 2:8-18). Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
HEBRON – KFAR ETZION – ELAH VALLEY
After an EARLY breakfast we shall drive to Hebron, the City of the Patriarchs and Machpela with the Tombs of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs. (subject to changes depending on the security situation in the Palestinian Territories). Continue to Kfar Etzion Visitor Center that will give us the story of the establishment of Gush Etzion from the early beginnings to the fall of the Gush during the War of Independence and its rebirth. Then we drive on to Beit Shemesh and stop at the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath, the Phillistine Giant, in single combat.
Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
MT.OF OLIVES – GETHSEMANE – OLD CITY – WESTERN WALL TUNNEL– MT. ZION
We begin this day driving to the top of Mount of Olives, for a majestic view over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. We walk down the “Palm Sunday Road” , via the Chapel of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed on the night of his betrayal (Luke 22:40-46). Next we shall enter the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, walking from the Pools of Bethesda and along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. From here we continue to the Western Wall Tunnels (Rabinnical Tunnel) The tunnels run along approximately 488 meters of the Western Wall, giving visitors a taste of the challenge that stood before Herod the Great during this biggest of all his immense building projects—the expansion of the Temple Mount. One such example is the famous western stone which is 14 meters long and weighs almost 570 tons. Continue to Mt. Zion for a visit to the Upper Room, the Tomb of King David and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Time permitting , we will visit the Israel Museum where we shall see the Model of Ancient Jerusalem which gives an excellent view of Jerusalem in Jesus’ days and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
YAD VASHEM – FRIENDS OF ZION – GARDEN TOMB – SHILOH – DEPARTURE
Today we check out of the Dan Hotel after breakfast. Our first stop will be at Yad Vashem Memorial to the victims of the Holocaust in World War 2. From here we drive to the Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem. Before we depart Jerusalem we will have a memorable visit at the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Golgotha. Here we shall have time for worship and celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We drive through Samaria to Tel Shilo where the Ark of the Covenant stood and which is associated with the High Priest Eli, Hannah and her son the Prophet Samuel. Before we depart we will enjoy a FAREWELL DINNER in a restaurant in Jerusalem and proceed to Ben Gurion Airport and check in for the departure night flight : LY# 5 departing at 01:05 am
