Day 2 -Thursday, April 1, 2027

WELCOME TO ISRAEL!

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport with flight # :______ at _____ p.m.   Meet and assist by Immanuel Tours representative.  After border formalities you will be received by your guide and driver and set out by bus along the coastal plain to our hotel on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and check into the Resort Hadera Hotel overlooking the sea. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 -Friday, April 2, 2027

Caesarea – Mt. Carmel – Megiddo-Nazareth – Cana

Breakfast.  Check out of our hotel and drive to Caesarea Maritima, built by King Herod, Caesarea later became the seat of government for the Roman Governor,Pontius Pilate, who sat in judgement over Yeshua and sentenced Him to be crucified.  We’ll visit the extensive excavations of the site including the harbor, the Crusader City, the Amphitheatre, the Hippodrome and the Roman Aqua duct.  Next we drive to Mt. Carmel,   where the Prophet Elijah challenged the Priests of Baal (1 Kings  18:16-39).  We continue to Megiddo. A giant fortress and city built by King Solomon(1 Kings 9:15).  In the New Testament Megiddo (Armageddon) is referred to as the site of the “final battle”mentioned in Revelations 16.  We will walk through this impressive archaeological site including the water system tunnel.  From here we will drive to Nazareth a town in the hill country of Galilee where Yeshua  grew up (Matt. 2:23; Luke 1:26; Luke 2; Luke 4:16-30) to manhood. We drive via Mt. Precipice, the mountain from which the people of Nazareth were trying to push Yeshua after he infuriated them with his sermon, declaring himself as the Messiah (Luke 4).  We will continue the drive via the Village of Cana in Galilee and we arrive at our hotel by the Sea of Galilee in the late afternoon.  Check into Hotel Nof Ginosar for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 -Saturday, April 3, 2027

Golan Heights

Today we will have a full day tour to the Golan Heights but first we stop at Korazim National Park with the ruins of the ancient village. Continue north to Tel Dan, the ruins of the northernmost town in biblical Israel (hence the saying “From Dan to Beersheba). We will stop at one of the sources of the River Jordan at Banias, the site of Caesarea Philippi, where the Apostle Peter made his great confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God.  Here we will also hike to the Banias Water Fall, the biggest waterfall in Israel. Drive up to Mt. Bental to an observation point of the Syrian border where we can look into the ghost town of Kuneitra and the “Road to Damascus”.  Last visit today is at Bethsaida (Matt. 11:21),“ The house of the Fisherman”, the location where Jesus healed the blind man (Mark 8:22–26) Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Sunday, April 4, 2027

Around the Sea of Galilee

On today’s tour we will concentrate on sites around the Sea of Galilee: Our first visit today will be to Magdala, the birthplace and home of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:1-2).  Next we will visit the Jesus Boat Museum which houses a fishing boat from the time of Jesus (Matthew 4:12-25).  Continue to Capernaum where Jesus lived and performed many signs and wonders (Matthew 8:5-13) .    Here we will visit the ancient synagogue (Mark 1:21-28) and the “House of Peter” (Matthew 8:14-17).  Located on the northern Sea of Galilee shore, Capernaum was the center of Jesus’ Galilean Ministry.  Visit Mt. Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).  We end this day with an evening boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where we will enjoy a time of worship.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 -Monday, April 5, 2027

Jordan Valley – Jerusalem

We check out from our hotel after breakfast. We start this day at Yardenit Baptistmal site on the banks fo the River Jordan. Here we will have opportunity to get baptized. Drive along the Jordan Valley passing Mt. Gilboa  to Ein Harod (Gideon’s spring) where Israel’s first king, Saul, and his son Jonathan fell in battle to the Phillistines, around 1010 BC (1 Samuel 31). It was at the waters of Ein Harod that Gideon collected his people, in accordance with God’s command, (Judges 7:7).  Next visit Beit Shean a major Biblical city located in the center of crossroads between the Jordan Valley and the Jezreel Valley. We will view here the Coliseum ruins. In the 11th century BC King Saul’s body was hung on its walls after his defeat by the Phillistines.  During New Testament times the city was one of the cities of the Decapolis named Skythopolis. If security situation allows, we shall visit Jericho, the most ancient city in the world, before we start the ascent to Jerusalem.  Before checking into our hotel, we will stop at an observation point on Mt. Scopus to have our first glimpse of Jerusalem, the capital city of Israel. Check in at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 –Tuesday, April 6, 2027

Temple Mount, Mt. of Olives – Old City – Mt. Zion

After and early breakfast this day we visit the Temple Mount, a holy site within the Old City for Jewish, Christian and Muslim people. Continue to Mt. of Olives, from which Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection. From the top of the Mount there is a magnificent view over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. Visit Garden of Gethsemane, where Christ prayed on the night of his betrayal (Lk. 22:40-46). Here we will have time for prayer in a private garden located nearby.  Next we shall enter within the old walled city of Jerusalem and walk in the footsteps of our Lord as he bore the burden of our sins to the Cross at Golgotha.  We visit the Pools of Bethesda and walk on along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  In the afternoon we shall visit the last standing remnant of the ancient Temple at the Western (Wailing) Wall. Next we shall visit the Mt. Zion with the  Tomb of King David , the Upper Room and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu which is built over the Palace of Caiaphas, the High Priest, before whom Jesus was brought for trial and sentenced to death. Beside the Church we shall see the “Roman Steps” which were probably used by Jesus and his disciples on the day of his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane.  Dinner and overnight at the Dan Hotel.

Day 8 -Wednesday, April 7, 2027

Massada – Ein Gedi – Dead Sea – Qumran

After breakfast we shall drive down through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on the face of the Earth . (Do not forget to take your bathing suit with you !!) We drive around the shores of the Dead Sea to the mountain fortress of Massada which was the last stand of a group of Jewish Zealots against the Romans in the year 73AD and who all died by their own hands rather than fall into the hands of their pagan conquerors. We ascend and descend the mount by cable car and visit the extensive remains of the fortress which soars 400 meters above the Dead Sea. This is followed by a visit to Ein Gedi, an oasis and a nature reserve.  We will walk to David’s Fall and the Spring of this ancient city of Juda. Before driving on we shall take a dip and a float in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. Our next stop is at Qumran which is where the Dead Sea Scrolls were written over 2000 years ago. Then we return to Jerusalem and to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 -Thursday, April 8, 2027

City of David – Western Wall Tunnels – Garden Tomb

First today we shall visit City of David where we can see the Pool of Siloam and go through Hezekiah’s TunnelThis is followed by a visit to the Davidson Archaeological Park with the Southern Wall of the Temple and the Hulda Steps which once led to the Temple. This is followed by a visit to the Western Wall Tunnels which takes you under the houses of the Old City and along the retaining wall of the 2nd Temple with its huge stones from the time of Herod.  We end this memorable day with a visit to the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Golgotha with a special communion service by the empty tomb. Dinner and overnight in the Dan Jerusalem Hotel.

Day 10 -Friday, April 9, 2027

New City – Bethlehem-Farewell Dinner

This day begins with a visit to the Israel Museum with the Shrine of the Book, where Dead Sea Scrolls are preserved, and the model of the 2nd Temple period Jerusalem. Passing by the Knesset we drive to the Yad Vashem Museum of the Holocaust which preserves the memory of the 6 million victims of the Shoah. After the visit we drive on to Bethlehem the royal city of King David where Jesus was born. The Church of the Nativity is reputed to be one of the oldest surviving Christian churches. We shall stop at the Shepherd’s Field where some shepherds watching their flocks were the first to whom the Angels announced the birth of the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.  Here you will also have the opportunity to buy the best olive wood artifacts before we return to Jerusalem for a free afternoon.   You may want to do some shopping in the Old City or walk to the Wailing Wall to experience the Welcoming of the Shabbat or visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Return to our hotel in Jerusalem in time for dinner and overnight.
