As news of the spread of COVID-19 continues to grow, the Israeli government has made the decision to restrict entry into Israel, mandating that anyone who enters Israel from any foreign country be quarantined for 14 days. This goes into effect as of Monday, March 9 and is expected to last two weeks, or until further government policy is stated.

We at Immanuel Tours are complying with all government regulations. We know this will create a very stressful and disappointing situation with those who were scheduled to be here during this time. We are here to help and discuss the situation with anyone who has questions and concerns related to their travel.

As is always our policy, the health and safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. In addition to complying to the government imposed regulations, once tours continue to operate, which we fully expect, we will make efforts to ensure that the buses are disinfected between tours, and monitor the situation continually.

If your tour has been affected, please contact your tour organizer for information on your particular tour’s status. You should contact your travel insurance provider as well to begin the process of making a claim. If you purchased your airfare separate from your tour group, you will also need to contact your airline individually. Many airlines are offering free changes or refunds for travel to and from Israel, so be sure to check their most recent policies.

At this point, there is no planned interruption for tours that are scheduled to take place after March 23, 2020. If this changes, we will update this page.

We encourage everyone to follow WHO’s recommendations for avoiding infection by this virus. These recommendations include:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Maintain a 3 foot separation from anyone who shows signs of illness.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • If you show signs of the virus, seek medical attention and stay away from others.

Immanuel Tours is praying for all those affected and for the swift end of this troubling time. We are still in the office daily preparing for upcoming tours and will be happy to work with anyone who would like to plan for future tours in later 2020, 2021 and 2022.

We would like to remind everyone of the words of our Lord Jesus:

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.- John 14:27
